ideas abound

i love collecting ideas. i have binders full of ideas. garden ideas. craft and decorating ideas. christmas and recipe ideas. my ironing board makes a perfect place to organize. because i do iron every week these piles can only sit for so long.

i can go through magazines (many snagged from the library)in the evenings, select the pages i want to keep and process the whole batch on a free afternoon.

recently i went through old martha stewarts where among other good things

i found a timely use for this.

i get to review the ideas i've already amassed as selected pages are trimmed, 3-hole-punched and added to my binders. a good way to kill an afternoon.

Good idea to use the ironing board. The pages I tear out stack up, gather dust, never get used, never again see the light of day.

so it is a family trait? I am running out of binders and fear I may need a filing cabinet soon. I think james has some unused ones in his office.....

i do have an official workbench where the stacks will accumulate until i have a major project requiring the space so the ironing board is perfect for things that i want to address within a few days.
i did have to shift one category because it had outgrown its smaller binder to a larger one. i also make use of the magazine sleeves that you find in funky fabric/paper covers in various articles. mine tend to be the plain black plastic that i can pick up for 50 cents at the thrift store. but i do have an idea...

Definitely a family trais but you two top me in quantity. I just have an accordion file that holds my stash!

that's how it starts - an innocent, utilitarian accordian file.
